The International School of Moscow
The International School of Moscow (ISM) was established in 2007 and has just this year had its first full enrollment from Pre-Nursery all the way up to Year 13. The school currently has over 700 students on roll and this is continuing to expand. ISM have been competing in the COBIS Games since 2013 and finished in 3rd place at the recent Secondary Games in Dubai.
This team has been training since September and pupils have had to make it through two different sets of trials to make the final team. Two of our pupils were members of the primary team who competed in Athens in 2015 so this will be a brand new experience for most of our athletes. Our boys team captain is Andrei Samarin and our girls team captain is Sophie Mertens who was a member of last years Athens team. Our vice-captains are Babette Oostveen and Dennis Afanasiev. Our young lions were training with our secondary team up until March and so will have seen first hand the effort and workrate they need to put into the games in order to achieve. We are really looking forward to competing on the COBIS stage again and relish all the challenges and competitions that come our way in Astana. We would like to thank our two main sponsors BP and Egorov, Poginsky, Afanasiev and Partners Law Offices. GO LIONS!! |
